Brian Smith

Administrative Director

Brian joined TDS in 2003, after 20 years of teaching and program development in a range of educational settings. He also spent many of those years working as a vaudeville performer specializing in creation and delivery of special event educational programs designed to address challenging topics for hard to reach audiences. These programs used comedy, juggling, and storytelling to open conversation about a range of social and behavioral challenges. His blend of classroom experience and program development make a great match with the clinical structure
provided by TDS therapists.

At TDS, Brian produces many of the activities that inform the programs in our clinic. When he is not
developing programs for our groups, Brian is working in his capacity as Administrative Director to
support the hard work of our therapists, teachers and mentors.

Brian is a member of Actors Equity Association, the union of professional stage actors, and holds a
certification to teach secondary Language Arts from the Massachusetts Department of Education.
